A Symphony of Water and Stone

The Mirusha Waterfalls are a series of spectacular cascades located in the central part of Kosovo. What makes this site unique is the way the Mirusha River has carved a deep canyon, creating 12 consecutive waterfalls and 16 emerald lakes that are interconnected by towering limestone walls.

The lower waterfalls are the most accessible and popular, featuring a large natural pool where visitors can enjoy a refreshing swim during the summer months. For the more adventurous, hiking trails lead up the canyon to the higher falls, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the entire regional park.

"Nature’s masterpiece in the heart of Kosovo, where the canyon's silence is broken only by the roar of the falls."

Quick Visitor Guide:

  • Swimming: The lower lake is a famous natural swimming spot in summer.
  • Hiking: Trails are available for exploring the upper lakes and the canyon.
  • Caves: Small caves and unique geological formations line the canyon walls.
  • Access: Best reached by car from the Klina-Gjakova road.
  • Pro Tip: Visit after heavy rain or in late spring for the most powerful water flow.
